Shake the Pagoda Tree

May 6, 2012

During one of the busiest event weekends of the season, I spent a few wonderful hours in Patterson Park and was rewarded richly for it. Upon arriving, I ran into my friend Kathy who happens to be the ED of the ‘Friends Of’ group. They were busy setting up their station for the Kinetic Sculpture Race. While we waited for the crowd to arrive, there were weeds to be pulled from the flowerbeds surrounding the park’s pagoda. A monarch butterfly checked in on the milkweed plants that we left for her. I’ve been to the park for many different events and it is always a joy to witness everyone enjoying themselves. I also got my second peek at Baltimore’s skyline from the top of the pagoda. Our city is full of treasures!
